Memorial Day Bike Ride!

What a perfect day for a bike ride! A little cloudy, mid 70's and even a little sprinkle, more like a light brief mist. We joined in our friends, the Halls, annual Memorial Day bike ride. It was so much fun! Our friends outfitted us in lovely matching jerseys and yes...lycra shorts, ahh! There was about 50 of us on the ride and we rode about 22 miles total, out to the purple store in Kaneville for ice-cream and then back to the Halls! I rode about 24 miles, I guess 22 just wasn't enough. Aaron was pulling both the girls behind him, a nice 60 extra pounds. I could make it up the hills a bit faster than he could and decided to let myself get a little ahead of him. Not a great idea. I ended up missing our turn and Aaron had to flag a car down to call me and tell me to turn around. Live and learn, next time I'll stick with him. It was still a ton of fun and we had a great barbeque afterword, not to mention sore legs and bottoms! We'll have to do this more often, it felt great to be out and riding!
