Catch-up?!

I can't keep up with anything! I have 4 loads of laundry to wash, 2 to fold, a nameless child wet her bed so yeah that's actually load 5. It's Sunday and I should be making dinner, but I am pretending that somehow it will just magically appear.

The month of July brought much more fun than Afton's stitches alone! Early in the month my mom and Dan cam out to visit. We did fireworks on the fourth, went kayaking on the Fox River near our home, had some great Chicago pizza and the world best chocolate malt at Oberwiess Dairy! Seriously it's worth buying a plane ticket just to come see me and get their malt! Your all invited! Not long after that, Aaron's sister Amanda was out in the city for a conference so we went down and walked around with her and ate at the wonderful Cheesecake Factory under the Hancock Tower! Yummy! I was called as the assistant camp director for my our ward and so I was able to go to Young Women's Camp with the girls. SOOO much FUN!!! I had to keep reminding myself that I was supposed to be an example to the girls and that it wasn't just my free for all vacation! It was great though. We went up to Lake Geneva in Wisconsin... yeah, it was kinda posh for camping, but I'm not complaining! I was able to go for the whole week thanks to Aaron's parents who so kindly came out and stayed to take care of everyone! They are incredible! They stayed a few days extra so we could spend some time together. We went into the city and did a LOT of walking! I am really missing them today... the whole not wanting to cook dinner thing...they are so much better at that than me! That event brought us into the month of August and here we are! I realize the month is more than half way over but I'm choosing to look at the full side of the glass and I am just happy it's not over yet. I think I will be able to catch my breath before September gets here. My great friend Hillary Coates is currently visiting (actually napping on my couch) from Arizona. She arrived last Tuesday and unfortunately leaves us in a couple days. She's made it to the city twice and we are hoping to go together before she leaves back home. The little booger arrives home, repacks her bags and heads off to France for the next 8-9 months to go teach English 12 hours a week. What the heck kinda job is that?! Oh, the glamour of single-hood! Soon I will have a link to her France blog so I can live vicariously through her... anyone else want to join me?

As for me, I better return to my now 5 loads of laundry, oh yeah and make something for dinner!
