Preschool
Afton started her first year of Preschool this September! I guess it's her only year since she will begin Kindergarten in 2008. She goes two days a week and most the time she loves it! She loves to take her backpack and hang it in her little cubby, the one she is sitting in. Her teachers have the kids come in and after hanging up their bags and coats, they sit in their cubbies until everyone has arrived. It's cute how there little butts fit perfectly! ;) Chelsea wanted to join in the fun as well! Afton's favorite part of preschool is art. Whenever there is a project to do at the art center, especially painting, that's where she goes! I have collected probably too many paintings. I think I will just try to save one a month in a special box for her. Any advice experienced mothers?

Those are the best moments! I'm glad you got some great pictures to remember them. As far as school work, what I've done is saved one or two things from the year, and then take a picture of the other artwork, then you can give them a print of their work, and it doesn't turn color, or get ruined, and it doesn't take up too much space. If you have a scanner, you can scan them in. I've had great luck with that! How are you feeling?
You will get TONS, especially as more of yours join the school-age group. I save the ones with journaling on them (special to me) or the ones that are really special to THEM.
Okay- Although my lovely 6 month old has yet to create masterpieces of her own, I got this question a lot while teaching preschool.
I agree with the above posts- take digital pictures of everything and save just a few a year. I always said to put a bunch in a box and let the child choose 2 "keepers" at the end of the school year. Anything that is choosen as a keeper, ask Afton about the picture (writing it down word for word and attach it). Even if her story about the picture is totally different than it was on the day she made it, you will be so glad to have these words later on.
Enjoy your beauties!!!
