We are going down to Phoenix after Christmas to spend a week with family. My dad and Amy just bought a new home together and have done a lot to call it their own. They say there is more to do, but knowing the two of them, they have likely accomplished in the past couple months what most of us would take at least a couple years to finish! I know they have spent lots of weekends painting! It's a four bedroom home, so we get to comfortably stay with them while we are down. I hear there is even a kids room complete with bunk-bed and all! We are so excited to go. When talking with my dad he asked what he needs to do to child-proof the house... for the safety of the kids. I assured him that our kids don't get into stuff under the sink, and Jacob doesn't open cupboards yet. I did however encourage him to remove any breakable decorations from about waist height down! After our conversation I tried to pay closer attention to what things may be disruptive to his home. The following is what I noticed:
Lovely red footprints all over the back porch... who said we needed to be limited to finger painting and paper?
Hmm... chalk on the back porch is pretty harmless, until they walk inside and sit on the couch in their chalk dusted jeans!
Did I say Jacob does NOT open cupboards yet?
