Family Vacation!

I never committed to post new blogs more than once a month. I know it's been a while, but it is only May! We had a fabulous April, it flew by! We spent a week in Utah with Aaron's family. Then drove down to Az where Aaron graced us with his presence for a weekend and then came back to Chicago to get back to work. I stayed another week with my family and the girls. It was a long time to be away, but it was a lot of fun! The main event in St. George was the blessing of our nephew, Jaxon Cole Bodell. Aaron's brother Josh and his wife Amber's first child. It has been a long time since all of Aaron's siblings and their spouses were in the same place at the same time. We celebrated the occasion with a family portrait, something Aaron's dad has been wanting for a long time! It was so nice to let the cousins play together, it would be so nice if we lived a little closer and they could play a bit more often than once every one or two years! I am grateful they at least have cousins. That leads to my families portion of the vacation, where I do not see them having any cousins in the near future! That's okay Afton and Chelsea get plenty of attention from their Aunt Alicia and Uncle Chase! And boy are they spoiled! We had lots of fun in AZ. We went out to the lake, spent an evening with many of my old high school friends, celebrated mine and my mom's birthdays, Grandma Aftie shopped us till we dropped, we played at the park, and even made it down to Tucson to visit my dad's side of the family. It was really quite a trip! Oh... and did I mention we had time to get what we thought was food poisoning, but must have been the flu because it was contagious! Yuck, I know! On the bright side it was great bonding time for my sister, my mom and I. We spent at least one day on the couch watching chick flicks and taking turns... well I'll leave out the details! The girls and I were all anxious to come home and return to Aaron. I hear he missed us too! I have published lots more photos from this trip with Picasa, just click the photo albums link!
